Curly Sue

After just seven years of directing films, the movie-maker helmed his final film in 1991 with the heart-warming comedy-drama. Starring Jim Belushi, Kelly Lynch, and introducing Alisan Porter in her breakout role, it told the story of homeless pals Bill (Belushi) and Sue (Porter). The pair seize their chance to change their lives when they decide to con wealthy divorce lawyer Grey Ellison (Lynch), who accidentally runs over Bill and puts them up for as long as they need.
