Anselmo Feleppa

By 1991, Wham!'s heyday as a duo was over and George was making it as a solo star.

By this time George had started to accept his sexuality - although only privately - and first locked eyes with Anselmo Feleppa at a concert. Unfortunately, Anselmo was soon diagnosed with AIDS and the relationship lasted a mere two years, until his death in 1993.

George later reflected: "I remember the terror of me understanding that this was possibly the beginning of an illness.

"I sat at the Christmas table not knowing whether my partner, who the people around the table did not know about ... not knowing whether the man I was in love with was terminally ill."
