José Feliciano

The legendary Feliz Navidad singer-songwriter was born entirely blind due to congenital glaucoma.

Rather than viewing his condition as a limitation, Feliciano developed an incredibly intricate, furious guitar style by using his hands as his primary sensory interface with the world. Speaking on public perceptions of blindness, the Puerto Rican musician said: "There are other parts of the body that see, like your nose, your ears, your hands... So it's never really been a blind world for me."
