Before the players of Spain and Argentina walked for the World Cup Final and to sing their nations' national anthems, Jennifer Hudson delivered an impassioned rendition of America's The Star-Spangled Banner.

It is a tradition at all major US sports events but the FIFA World Cup Final belongs to the countries playing, and fans on social media were quick to blast America for taking some of the limelight.
