Santana
Davis signed guitarist Carlos Santana and his groundbreaking rock-fusion band to Columbia in the late 1960s right before their historic Woodstock performance, yielding early classic hits like Black Magic Woman and Oye Como Va. Decades later in 1998, Davis pulled off one of music's greatest second acts by re-signing Santana to Arista, masterminding the multi-Grammy-winning, global comeback album Supernatural and its record-breaking radio smash Smooth.
