The Apple co-founder died aged 56 in 2011 from respiratory arrest caused by a rare, slow-growing form of pancreatic cancer known as a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pNET).

Diagnosed in 2003, Jobs delayed conventional surgical treatment for nine months in favor of alternative therapies, a decision he later regretted.
