The much loved Harry Potter star passed away in 2016 at the age of 69 following a brief, private battle with pancreatic cancer.

Diagnosed in August 2015 after a minor stroke, he kept his illness largely private.

The Die Hard actor's wife, Rima Horton, revealed he requested not to die in pain and described the diagnosis as a "tremendous shock."
