Kathy Bates

Bates is a two-time cancer survivor, having battled ovarian cancer in 2003 and breast cancer in 2012. Following a family history of the disease, she underwent a double mastectomy. Bates is now a vocal advocate for cancer awareness and lymphedema research, a condition she developed after her surgeries.
