Tom is renowned for performing his own stunts but very nearly broke his back during a thrilling plane sequence in the 2025 flick Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.

In bonus content included in the movie's digital release, Cruise said as he rewatched the scene: "Oh, this almost broke my back."
