Awards and recognition

Over her career, Andrews has won an Oscar, two BAFTAs, three Emmys, six Golden Globes, two Grammys, a Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award and been named a Disney Legend, among other accolades.

In 2000, she was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II.

Of her Damehood, she said: “It was one of the greatest honours of my life.”
