Defying gravity

As well as singing live, Cynthia Erivo was determined to do all of her own stunts, particularly when it came to flying.

The actress performed her sweeping flight to the western skies after Defying Gravity herself, and was strapped to a harness on top of her broom, all while wearing a corset and singing.

Due to this, Erivo said she had to “shift the way [she] breathed” to ensure she could sing properly.
