The 44-year-old actor married the 'Orange is the New Black' actress in June 2018 but in November it was revealed the pair went their separate ways in September last year.

Paperwork filed by the 'X Men: The Last Stand' star noted the former couple actually split over a year ago.

According to PEOPLE magazine, Ben cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their divorce, and stated he and Laura - who are parents to Ella, seven, and a four-year-old son whose name hasn't been publicly disclosed - are no longer able to "live together successfully as husband and wife".

The pair were friends for a long time before their relationship turned romantic in July 2016. They got engaged just three months later and their first child was born the following summer.
