Meryl Streep
The 'Mamma Mia!' star has won three Academy Awards in her time as one of Hollywood's most famous leading ladies but only relied on method acting to portray the role of the formidable fashion editor Miranda Priestly in 'The Devil Wars Prada'. She said: "I was [miserable] in my trailer. I could hear them all rocking and laughing. I was so depressed! I said, ‘Well, it’s the price you pay for being boss!’ That’s the last time I ever attempted a Method thing!”
