Drew Barrymore became a major player in Hollywood after starring in ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ at the age of seven years old, but she does not want her children to follow in her footsteps.

The actress - who has daughters Olive, 11 and Frankie, 10 - explained she wanted her children to follow their own “journey”, and emphasised she refused to become a mother who “[pushes] her kids out there”.

She said: “I'm not going to let them be kid actors. That's so not their journey.

“Can you imagine me being [a] mom [who is] pushing her kids out there? That's not going to happen.”
