Success followed success for Roberts and in 1990, she established herself as Hollywood's most in-demand leading lady thanks to her performance in 'Pretty Woman'. Her role as working girl Vivian Ward is probably the star's most memorable romantic role and sees her rescued from a life on the streets by her knight-in-shining-armour Edward Lewis (Richard Gere).

For many, it remains Julia's best ever film.
