The water stunt wasn’t the only sequence that Tom Cruise went the extra mile for!

For the climactic ending on top of a bullet train, the actor wanted to make sure the scene looked convincing and went out of his way to get the most powerful wind machine he could get his hands on.

Eventually, Tom found one made in Europe that could produce 140-mile-per-hour gusts and so brought it to production.

As a result, Ethan Hunt’s distorted face in the train sequence is very real!
