Bad start
After reading George Gallo’s first draft of the script, director Michael Bay was not impressed, at all.
He recalled: "'Bad Boys' was a very bad script I thought, let’s face it. Basically all we had for 'Bad Boys' was two great actors, and they had a great charisma together."
In an effort to save the movie, producers brought in writing veterans Michael Barrie and Jim Mullholland - who had worked on ‘The Tonight Show’ and ‘The Late Show’ to clean up the script.
