Their first child

In March 1999, they welcomed their first child, Brooklyn, at the Portland Hospital, London just a few months before they were due to tie-the-knot.

Baby Brooklyn weighed 7 lbs and was born via an emergency caesarean as Brooklyn’s head wasn’t properly engaged.

The couple’s baby name choice raised a few eyebrows at the time, but they later revealed they conceived their son whilst in Brooklyn, New York.

Victoria said: “I like Brooklyn as a name – it’s quite different – but you couldn’t do it all the time. It wouldn’t work if you were somewhere like Moscow."
