‘Too demented to be made’
‘Pulp Fiction’ certainly doesn’t shy away when it comes to the darker side of Los Angeles, and that unsurprisingly didn’t sit well with a lot of studios.
When the independent movie was pitched to Columbia TriStar head Mike Medavoy was quick to turn it down and declared it was “too demented” to be made.
Eventually, the film was picked up by Miramax.
