Amid his rise to country pop stardom, the 30-year-old singer/songwriter was forced to apologise in 2021 after footage emerged of him using the N-word twice after returning from a boozy night out.

He was disqualified from the Academy of Country Music Awards, but later returned to Billboard’s country airplay chart and performed at the ceremony.

Whilst he has been able to get his career back on track, he was just arrested for allegedly throwing a chair off a roof of a bar that landed near police.
