In 1991, Jeremy Irons took home the golden statuette for his performance as Claus von Bülow in 'Reversal of Fortune’.

Directed by Barbet Schroeder, the movie is narrated by Sunny von Bülow (Glenn Close), who is in a coma after falling into diabetic shock after a Christmas party.

Her husband Claus is charged with attempting to murder the hypoglycemic Sunny by giving her an overdose of insulin, and his lawyer and the audience are left questioning whether he is innocent or not.
