Zooey Deschanel is allergic to eggs, dairy and wheat.

The 'Elf' star tried to follow a gluten-free vegan diet to ensure she didn't consume any of her problem foods, but it was just too hard to stick to, especially when eating out.

Speaking to Vulture, she said: "I am the worst person to ever eat with because I have all these stupid food allergies. To be a gluten-free vegan is, like, the most difficult thing you can possibly be. And I lasted, like, six months.
