Harrison Ford’s snake nightmare

Indiana Jones famously doesn’t like snakes and it turns out they don’t like him either!

In the scene where the archeologist and Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) are trapped in the Well of Souls during ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, Harrison had to sit face-to-face with a cobra.

Frighteningly, the snake spat venom at the actor which could have been deadly had a pane of glass not separated man and reptile.

Producer Kathleen Kennedy recalled: "At one point, it hooded and whipped its head off to the side and literally threw venom all over the glass. So that was something that caused everybody to sit up and take notice and recognise that this was not something to play around with."
