'There would be disputes about pay!'

The main cast was initially made up of Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina along with Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick as her aunts Hida and Zelda, Nate Richert as her boyfriend Harvey and Michelle Beaudoin as her best friend Jenny.

But Jenny disappeared after Season One with no explanation and Melissa explained she was one of many characters who were written out of the show seemingly at random.

She said: "Oh, Jenny! Yeah, season by season our show's cast would come and go based on audience reaction, and sometimes there'd be dispute about contracts and negotiations as far as payment goes for certain actors!"
