The Penguin

If a more grounded superhero TV show appeals, then 'The Penguin' is a must-watch.

Set in 'The Batman' universe, the series follows the titular mobster, played by Colin Farrell, and explores the dark underworld of Gotham City.

Speaking with Variety, Colin explained how director Matt Reeves had envisioned the story in the wider Batman narrative.

He said: "Matt’s idea originally was to have 'The Penguin' show begin about a week after the end of 'The Batman' film and then if it works if the trajectory is interesting enough and if the audience go for it and we do our jobs right have Penguin feature in the second film and pick up where the HBO show will end.”
