Jodie Foster
The Oscar winner achieved global fame as a child star in the 1970s thanks to roles in 'Freaky Friday' and 'Taxi Driver' among others.
The 61-year-old actress had to deal with speculation about her sexuality for years, and she used her acceptance speech when collecting the Cecil B DeMille lifetime achievement award at the 2013 Golden Globes to state how important it was for her to maintain a semblance of a private life as a Hollywood star
Jodie - who is married to photographer Alexandra Hedison - said: "Seriously, if you had been a public figure from the time that you were a toddler, if you'd had to fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal against all odds, then maybe you too might value privacy above all else. Privacy. Some day, in the future, people will look back and remember how beautiful it once was. I have given everything up there from the time that I was three years old. That's reality-show enough, don't you think?"
