Jackie Chan
In the 1970s Jackie Chan began his training at the China Drama Academy, excelling in acrobatics and martial arts.
He is versed in wushu, wing chun, hapkido and Southern Shaolin kung fu.
After starting off in Hong Kong cinema in kung-fu films, Chan shot to prominence thanks to the 'Police Cop' series in the 1980s and then made the move to Hollywood with his 'Rush Hour' series with Chris Tucker being a major box office success.
In a 2010 interview with BBC, Chan said: "When you are learning about a martial art, it is about respect. You have to find a good teacher. If you knock somebody down – stop. Bring them up.”
