Gwendolyn Christie – 6ft 3"

In ‘Game of Thrones’ Gwendolyn Christie plays a giant of a woman, Brienne of Tarth, who stands far taller than most of her male co-stars.

Hollywood is full of tricks to make actors appear taller or shorter on screen, but the directors didn’t have to use too much trickery to help Christie as she stands at 6ft 3” in real life.

However, when she started out Gwendolyn was told her height would be an obstacle to her success and that she “would probably never work because [she] didn't look the same as most actors".
