The 'If I Could Turn Back Time' hitmaker caused a stir in 2013 when she told her Twitter followers that she does not celebrate Thanksgiving as it commemorates the theft of land from Native Americans.

She wrote: "4 me & my Family, it's a day, When every1 is free 4Diner & a movie, Not 2 celebrate the beginning of a GREAT crime.

"Stealing Land, from a ppl, Who believed, Owning LAND Was Like Owning SKY! We gave them Blankets laced w/Smallpox."

However, she will close out the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City this year.
