Renee Zellweger
‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation’ starred two future Oscar winners - Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey.
The film was first released in 1995, when both were still unknown, however, within the next couple of years they had both become major stars, leading the studio to re-cut and release the film again in 1997. It was a critical and financial failure.
During a 2011 interview on ‘George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight,’ McConaughey recalled his time on the film: “It was carnie, man, we were shooting in 115-degree weather, myself, Renee Zellweger, 16-hour days. It was a lot of fun. It was like anything goes.”
