The 73-year-old record producer and the former ‘Smash’ star, 39, have 34 years between them.

David and Katharine - who have 20-month-old son Rennie together - first met back when she was competing on ‘American Idol’ but only got married in 2020 after three years of dating.

On her relationship with David - who has five other kids including the actresses Sara Foster, 42, and 40-year-old Erin Foster - Katharine told PEOPLE: "It doesn't make sense to a lot of people, but it does to us."
