Ted Danson - Sam Malone
Ted, 75, shot to fame thanks to his leading role as bartender Sam Malone on the NBC sitcom.
He won two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards for the role.
Ted's character was a recovering alcoholic and a notorious womaniser.
He was chosen for his connection with co-star Shelley Long (Diane).
Sam went on to feature in 'The Show Where Sam Shows Up', a crossover episode of the spin-off 'Frasier'.
Ted played Sam again in pre-game segments of the 1983 Super Bowl and in one of the baseball games of the 1986 World Series, The Magical World of Disney episode 'Mickey's 60th Birthday', and 'The Simpsons' episode 'Fear of Flying'.
He has had many notable movie roles, including playing Jack Holden in 1987's 'Three Men and a Baby'.
His other film credits include 'Body Heat', 'Dad', 'Loch Ness' and 'Saving Private Ryan'.
On TV, he's starred in 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' and 'Fargo'.
He also earned Emmy nods for his roles in the legal drama 'Damages' and sitcom 'The Good Place'.
Ted - who is married to 'Back to the Future' actress Mary Steenburgen - received a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in 1999.
