Kirstie Alley - Rebecca Howe

The late Kirstie Alley landed her breakout role playing Rebecca Howe in 'Cheers', a part that would land her a Golden Globe and Emmy.

She appeared in the show from 1987 and 1993 and in one episode of spin-off 'Wings'.

She was cast to replace Shelley Long— waitress Diane Chambers.

She ends up becoming the manager of 'Cheers' when Sam Malone (Ted Danson) sells up, and the pair regularly bicker.

Like Diane, Rebecca constantly had to reject his advances.

Through the 80s and 90s, Kirstie had several films roles including 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan', 'Look Who's Talking' and sequels, plus 'Drop Dead Gorgeous'.

Kirstie scored another Emmy in 1994 for the TV film 'David's Mother'.

In 2005, she played a version of herself in 'Fat Actress'.

She went on to appear in the comedy horror series 'Scream Queens' as Ingrid Hoffel in 2016.

She also appeared in reality TV shows, including 'Dancing with the Stars', 'The Masked Singer' and 'Celebrity Big Brother' in the UK.

She had her own series 'Kirstie Alley's Big Life' in 2010, which followed her weight loss journey and life as a single mother.

Kirstie sadly passed away on December 5, 2022, aged 71, following a battle with cancer.
