Sir Paul McCartney, 81, got arrested during a 1980 visit to Japan, where he was accused of having marijuana.

In the end, the Beatles legend spent nine days behind bars. Years later, the British musician appeared on ‘The Late Late Show With James Corden’, recalling the incident during the show’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment.

He said: “I still am hazy as to how that happened but it did. I had some marijuana in my suitcase and I ended up in jail for nine days. Scary!”
