Meg Ryan
She's had her fair share of box office hits, such as ‘When Harry Met Sally’ (1989) and ‘You’ve Got Mail’ (1998).
However, in 2003, when Meg Ryan starred in ‘In the Cut’, things changed dramatically for the Hollywood sweetheart.
In the film, Meg Ryan shares screen time with Mark Ruffalo, but the critics paid more attention to Meg’s intimate scenes, rather than to the plot.
In fact, in a controversial interview with Michael Parkinson, the British chat show legend questioned her about her decision to strip off and why she didn't consider what her audience's expectations of her were.
In 2019, Meg spoke to The New York Times and addressed the infamous interview, saying: “I don’t think I handled it well. Since then, I’ve had publicists say to me, ‘You should’ve prepared your audience for your doing something different.’ ‘In the Cut’ was a sexual thing, and sex throws people. I’d never presented myself like that before; it was so different from my assigned archetype.”
