He had an ulterior motive for acting

Pattison has admitted he was not a “cool boy” during his school days and was encouraged by his dad to join drama classes to help him meet girls.

He recalled: “My dad spotted a bunch of girls in a cafe and they were all really excited, so he asked them where they’d been. When they said they’d been to drama classes, he reckoned I should get myself down there.”
