Ray Winstone is like a “fifth judge” on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 69-year-old The Gentlemen actor has been cheering on his daughter Jaime as she competes on the current season of the BBC One dance show and Jaime admitted she has been turning to her dad for advice, particularly after she ended up in the dance-off with her partner Carlos Gu.

Although Jaime and Carlos were saved by the judges, with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton and professional partner Amy Dowden being sent home, Jaime reached out to her father for guidance.

She told The Sun: “Thankfully, I’ve got the support around me that I need.

“I had a great phone call with him after the show on Saturday, from set - Dad is loving it. He’s suddenly a fifth judge.

“He just said, ‘Pick yourself up, kid, and crack on’, and that’s what I’ve got to do.

“He’s loving Carlos and he’s super-proud of me. He knows it’s a really hard job we’re doing and I’m putting in the effort.

“And my mum was screaming in the background, crying, ‘You’re amazing!’.”
