Ray Winstone and Alex Kingston lead Danger Money cast for Prime Video
Ray Winstone, Alex Kingston and more have been cast in the action comedy series.
Ray Winstone and Alex Kingston are leading the cast of Danger Money.
The duo lead an all star ensemble for Amazon Prime Video's upcoming six part action comedy series, with filming getting underway for David Crow and Oliver Maltman's show.
The series stars The Gentlemen's Winstone as former SAS operative Alan 'Razor' Sharp, who is left haunted by a botched mission in the 1990s, with his best friend dead and his own reputation in tatters.
Doctor Who favourite Kingston as joined the cast alongside Game of Thrones star Iain Glen, Sex Education actress Mimi Keene, and Count Abdulla's
Arian Nik.
The cast is rounded out by The Hunger Games actress Kara Tointon, Gotham's Sean Pertwee and Red Eye's Oliver Maltman.
In Danger Money, Winstone's character is still plagued by guilt decades after the mission, but gets pulled back into the world he left behind after an old friend (Pertwee) presents an offer he can't refuse.
Things spiral when Razor arrives in Italy, and he is forced on the run with 'nephew' Jamaal (Nik) and secretive tag along Roxy (Kingston).
He finds himself in a violent conspiracy, fighting to clear his name while protecting those closest to him.
Tointon will play Winstone's on screen daughter Maggie, while Maltman has been cast as her partner Gavin.
Keene will play mysterious character Ana, with Glen playing a friend from Razor's younger days.
Teasing her character, Kingston said: "Roxy is a character who keeps you guessing.
"She swings from intelligent and professional determination on the surface to emotional complexity beneath.
"The adventure she finds herself on leads her to a greater, empathetic understanding of the human condition.
"The scripts balance action, humour and heart brilliantly, and getting to play opposite such an exceptional cast is really exciting."
Nik heaped praise on Winstone and Kingston, hyping them as "legends in their own right".
Nik added: "I'm buzzing to be joining this production. The scripts are hilarious, full of twists, and a lot of heart.
"Ray and Alex are both legends in their own right and it's an absolute honour to be sharing this journey with them."
