The talk show titan, 72, has revealed she was "blown away" after attending the pop star's show at the New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium in 2023 as part of her Renaissance World Tour so she penned a note expressing her thanks and admiration - and she got a surprise present in return.
During an appearance on web show Are You Okay?, Oprah explained: "I went to the Beyonce Renaissance concert. I was so blown away. I wrote her a fan letter.
"She obviously liked the fan letter because she then sent me one of the hats from Renaissance. Beyonce sent me a hat!"
At the time of the gig, Oprah shared her excitement in a post on social media along with a video which showed her dancing as Beyonce sang Break My Soul.
Oprah wrote: "I have never in my life experienced something as transcendent.
"That kind of talent, synergy, expression, and anointing is something that comes straight from a Source that creates the planets.
"The dancers, the production, the musicians, and the team in front and behind the scenes, all perfectly align to create a renaissance in today’s world. You must see it."
It comes after Oprah opened up about her personal life and revealed the origins of her name - explaining it was changed from Oprah when she was a child because so many people struggled to spell it.
During an appearance on Keke Palmer's Baby, This Is Keke Palmer video podcast, Oprah shocked the host when she confessed the truth and explained the name's religious origins.
Oprah said: "It was Orpah from the Bible ... Ruth, first chapter, 14th verse. It’s that whole Ruth and Naomi story. And you know, Ruth said: 'Wherever thy goest, I will go.' And then Orpah said: 'I’m going back. I’m sorry. I can’t. Too long. The road’s too long' ... "
The TV star explained her name was changed when she young and she didn't find out until she was 20, adding: "It's not what made me. I was a kid. Nobody knew how to spell it.
"So, it turned out on my birth certificate, it’s Orpah. And then people started calling me Oprah. And so it’s just the difference between the P being before the R or after the R. So once they started with Oprah, that’s it."
