Olivia Rodrigo feels "so normal" in the UK.
The 23-year-old pop star is one of the world's best-selling musicians - but Olivia feels able to live a normal life whenever she's in the UK and especially in London.
Speaking to the BBC about her love of the UK, Olivia explained: "I feel so normal here, very adult. I can walk to the pub and meet friends. It's a city where spontaneity is really encouraged.
"People are very social here, in a way that they're not in Southern California."
Olivia - who was born and raised in California - has even learned how to cope with the rain in Britain.
She joked: "It wouldn't be a proper English summer without it."
Olivia has been outspoken about various social and political issues in the US over the years. However, she's now decided to pick her battles more carefully.
The chart-topping star said: "I definitely try to be careful with my words, but simultaneously, the women I looked up to when I was young were really outspoken, and that was one of the reasons I adored them.
"I don't think my goal is to be liked by all. And when you de-centre that as the primary motivation, I think everything becomes a lot more joyful."
Earlier this month, Olivia explained that she feels like she's the "best version" of herself in London.
The pop star wrote a huge chunk of her new album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, in London, and Olivia admitted to feeling inspired by the city.
The brunette beauty - who previously dated London-born actor Louis Partridge - told Dazed: "I’m the best version of myself when I’m there. I wrote lots of the album in London; lots [of it] was inspired by my time there. Maybe it’s because it rains so much that all you want to do is be inside with the guitar and write."
Olivia also admitted to feeling inspired by Manchester, the home of bands such as Oasis, The Smiths, Joy Division, and The Stone Roses.
The singer said: "I spent some time in Manchester a few years ago and it was so rainy I was like, ‘No wonder so many great bands come out of Manchester!’"
