Sir Rod Stewart shares hopeful message at Glastonbury
Rock star Sir Rod Stewart performed the Legends Slot at the Glastonbury Festival.

Sir Rod Stewart thinks "music brings us together".
The 80-year-old star hailed music's ability to unify people as he took to the stage at Glastonbury on Sunday (06.29.25), where he filled the Legends Slot on the Pyramid Stage.
Rod - who arrived on the stage to the tune of Scotland The Brave - told the crowd at Worthy Farm: "Enjoy yourselves ladies and gentlemen, please.
"Music brings us together. We need music."
The chart-topping icon subsequently performed some of his best-known songs, including The First Cut Is The Deepest, Tonight's The Night, and Some Guys Have All The Luck, his 1984 hit single.
Rod dedicated a rendition of The O’Jays Love Train to the people of Ukraine, amid the ongoing war in Eastern Europe.
The award-winning star told the crowd: "There’s been a lot about the Middle East, and rightly so. But I wanted to draw your attention to the Ukraine."
Love Train explores the idea of spreading love and peace throughout a long list of countries, including Russia, Egypt and Israel.
Rod's performance also featured cameo appearances from Mick Hucknall, Lulu and Ronnie Wood, his Faces bandmate.
Rod and Lulu performed Hot Legs together, and the 76-year-old singer observed that they "make a great couple".
Meanwhile, Rod recently confessed that he came close to cancelling his Glastonbury performance.
The rock star admitted that he came perilously close to cancelling his gig after being struck down with illness.
The Maggie May hitmaker - who is married to model Penny Lancaster - told The Sun newspaper: "I’ve had to cancel five shows because of this b****** flu.
"This time last week I was thinking of cancelling. It was a close shave. I have had Influenza A. It’s been so terrible.
"But my dear wife Penny and some good medical people got me through it. There was a lot of technical massaging from some very good people I know, which sounds filthy doesn’t it? You’ve got no idea.
"But my dear wife, she said to me ‘You are going to do this. It’s mind over matter.’ She nursed me back to health. She really is a great girl."
