After reports the boys were alienated by her raunchy social media posts, Britney Spears reunited with her two estranged sons for Christmas.
Britney Spears reunited with her two estranged sons for Christmas.
The ‘Toxic’ singer, 43, had not seen her boys Sean, 19, and 18-year-old Jayden – who she had with her ex-husband Kevin Federline, 46 – for two years, but has now shared with fans on Instagram how she spent the festive holiday with the teens.
She posted a video of her kissing Jayden on the cheek on her account, while a source told DailyMail.com his older brother was also with them for the holiday.
A source told the outlet: “Sean and Jayden surprised Britney on Christmas and she was absolutely blown away.
“Needless to say, she was a sobbing happy mess and couldn’t pull herself together because of how happy she was. It was so sweet.”
Britney’s Instagram video, posted on Christmas Day, showing her kissing Jayden on the cheek, was captioned: “Best Christmas of my life!!! I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years!!!
“Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!! I'm speechless thank you Jesus!!!”
Britney had the boys during her two-year marriage to rapper Kevin, from whom she split in 2007.
She was released from her controversial 13-year conservatorship in 2019, which saw her father take control of her personal and financial affairs, and since regaining control of her life, it’s been reported her boys were alienated by the string of social media posts she shared with fans, many of which showed her dancing semi-naked.
A source also told the Mail about the impact of the clips on her sons, and how they love her in spite of her raunchy socials content: “For the past two years, she has tried so hard to become the mother that they needed her to be.
“They stopped looking at her social media all together and started only focusing on how she treated them because they know that social media is just her playing a character.
“Britney's outwardly projection of what she shows the world is not her, and Sean and Jayden know this. It never has been. They love their mom and will continue being there for her.”
