Joey King celebrated her first wedding anniversary with an old newspaper.

The 25-year-old actress tied the knot with Steven Piet, 40, in 2023 and celebrated by sourcing a newspaper that came from May 1985 but admitted that it came with a "really weird headline" splashed across the front.

She told E! News: "I found the newspaper one year from the day my husband was born, which is super cool. It had a really weird headline. I read it and I was like, 'Oh, that’s funny'. It's a cool thing!"

The 'Kissing Booth' star is appearing in the upcoming Netflix drama 'Uglies' and explained that she and her co-star Brianne Tju would often hang out together after their days on set and would include spending the night together drinking.

She said: "We had a lot of girls' times in [mine and Steven's bedroom] the morning hungover and we're just debriefing about the night. We had a lot of memories—so many memories and so much fun."

Joey recently revealed that things "haven't changed much" since she and her 'We Were the Lucky Ones' co-star tied the knot.

She told US TV show 'Extra': "The funny thing is… not much has [changed] ’cause we already lived together before we got married… I have to say, like, everything’s just, like, a little bit, like, sweeter… Everything just feels sweeter. "Your day to day doesn’t really change that much, but there is, like, a feeling about it that is different and it’s, like, a really lovely feeling. "

The couple met when Steven directed two episodes of Joey's series 'The Act' and they got engaged in February 2022.

Announcing their engagement, Joey wrote on Instagram at the time: "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy. I never knew that a persons presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful."

"In terms of things of learned, well, it'd be kind of bad if we learned something super new about each other but is pretty gravy baby."
