Sabrina Carpenter "always knew" she would be famous and never had "any doubt" she would make it even during tough times.
Sabrina Carpenter "always knew" she would be famous.
The 25-year-old pop megastar received a massive career boost when she served as the support act on Taylor Swift's 'Eras' tour and has enjoyed huge success with her summer smash single 'Espresso' but admitted that she has always felt that entertainment was the "path" she would take.
She told Paper magazine: "I don't know how to describe it. When you're a child and you just have a feeling of, I know I'm going to do this someday.
"I know I'm going to do this for the rest of my life. I know this is the path I need to follow, whatever that means for me, and whatever success that means for me is what I'm destined for."
The 'Please Please Please' songstress started her career as a child when she placed third in The Next Miley Cyrus Project in 2009 and, much like the former 'Hannah Montana' star, ended up on Disney Channel with a role on the sitcom 'Girl Meets World' a few years later.
Sabrina began her music career in 2015 and has since released five studio albums, with her sixth record 'Short n Sweet' due for release on Friday (23.08.24) but insisted that even during tough times she "never doubted" that this kind of life was meant for her.
She said: " I have dreams and goals, and I will say I’m a little bit of a freak manifester sometimes, which is a blessing and a curse depending on how you look at it. I always knew deep down that this was something I would do with my life, and I didn't ever really doubt that, even when s*** was hitting the ceiling fan."
