Singer Raye has broken her silence on rumours she's enjoying a romance with hunky actor Michael B. Jordan - insisting they are" just friends who like rollercoasters".

The 28-year-old singer - real name Rachel Keen - sparked gossip about her relationship status when she was spotted enjoying a day out with the hunky actor at the Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park in California in August with pictures shared online showing the pair going on rides together.
The snaps led to speculation the pair are dating, but Raye is adamant they just have a shared love of them parks. Speaking at the 2026 MTV VMAs in Los Angeles on Sunday (27.09.26), Raye told Extra: "We’re just friends who like roller coasters."
The singer also explained she's been working on a professional project with the Sinners star but she's been sworn to secrecy.
She told the outlet: "I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble."
Recent reports suggested Raye is working on a soundtrack for a movie Jordan is involved in, which brought them together for some off‑site downtime at the theme park.
A source told TMZ that “Raye and Michael are just friends and have never been on a date,” stressing there’s “never been anything romantic between them” despite their close appearance at the park.
It’s not yet known which film RAYE is contributing music to, but Jordan has a packed slate.
He’s attached to a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair, Rainbow Six, and the upcoming Miami Vice ’85 alongside Austin Butler.
His production company, Outlier Society, is also developing Methuselah, I Am Legend 2 and Creed 4.
Raye previously vowed not to release another record until she meets the love of her life. The Escapism singer released her second record, This Music May Contain Hope, earlier this year, and she's got ideas for the follow-up already - but admitted fans will have to wait until her personal life is settled before she works on the concept.
She laughed to The Times newspaper: “My third album, I think I’ve named it already. It’s going to be called And Then She Fell in Love. And I’m not writing a single song - be it one year, five years, ten years - until that chapter of my life begins."
