Kim Kardashian's kids were 'loved and heard' amid divorce
Kim Kardashian has revealed how she dealt with the stresses of her divorce.
Kim Kardashian wanted her kids to feel "loved and heard" amid her split from Kanye West.
The 43-year-old beauty announced her split from Kanye in 2021, and Kim was determined to protect her children throughout the process.
The reality star - who has North, ten, Saint, seven, Chicago, five, and Psalm, four, with the rapper - told GQ's Men of the Year issue: "Ultimately, what matters is that kids feel loved and heard.
"You want to be sensitive because they’re just kids, and it’s hard to go through no matter what age. You have to make sure that you only go to a level that they can understand. It’s okay to show a vulnerable side. You never go to a negative side."
Despite this, Kim is still happy to wear her heart on her sleeve.
The SKIMS founder explained: "Just because I know how to manage my stress well doesn’t mean that I don’t feel the emotions. If I’m sad, of course I will cry and feel it."
Kim actually learned from how her own parents - Kris Jenner and her late dad Robert Kardashian - handled their divorce.
She shared: "I did think about how my parents handled it with us. I just remember them being open."
Kim also revealed that she turned to a therapist for help before she split from Kanye.
The TV star explained: "I tried a little bit before my marriage ended.
"I do have a therapist that only deals in child psychology that I talk to to get parenting tips and advice. Sometimes I feel challenged by parenting.
"But I have the best group of friends and we talk about everything together, so that to me is therapy. I hit the lottery, the f****** Mega Ball of friends."
