Leonardo DiCaprio and Maya Jama would be 'one hell of a power couple', says Peter Andre
Peter Andre has defended Leonardo DiCaprio for dating women much younger than him.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Maya Jama would make "one hell of a power couple", Pete Andre says.
The Hollywood actor, 48, and the 'Love Island' host, 28, were recently rumoured to be dating, and although the gossip turned out not to be true, the 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker believes they would be great together despite their 20-year age gap.
Writing in his latest new! magazine column, Pete said: "Leonardo DiCaprio was linked to yet another woman last week - Maya Jama. Although it has since been denied, I do think that would be one hell of a power couple. Although she's 28, 20 years his junior, you can't help but admit that Leo still looks awesome."
The 50-year-old singer's wife Emily is 13 years younger than him and he doesn't think their age gap makes a difference to their happiness.
He added: "As you all know, Emily and I have been together for nearly 11 years and have known each other for 13 years. Even though she is younger than me, I don't think age matters as we are so happy together!"
Earlier this week, Maya dismissed the "silly" gossip linking her to the movie star after they were spotted at several events together this year - insisting they are definitely not a couple and urging fans to "move on".
She tweeted: "I’ve been minding my business on holiday said I wouldn’t respond/pay attention to any of the silly stories anymore but you need to stop now ... "
Maya also addressed gossip which suggested she wore a Leo necklace in reference to her budding romance - declaring the piece of jewellery was actually a nod to her star sign.
She added: "That is literally my star sign. We are not dating. Move on please."
Rumours of a romance between the pair were sparked earlier this month when it was reported they had been spotted partying together in New York and London and were pictured at the same event in Paris, France, last month.
Leonardo - who has faced criticism for dating younger women - is said to be single after splitting from 'Never Goin' Back' star Camila Morrone, 25, in August after four years of dating, while Maya previously dated rapper Stormzy for four years before their relationship came to an end in 2019.
