Emmerdale's Lisa Riley penned a tribute to her on-screen son Bradley Johnson after his final episode on the ITV soap aired.

On Monday night (12.10.26), viewers watched as Vinny Dingle was sentenced to 10 years in prison for causing death by dangerous driving.

Vinny accidentally killed Jimmy King (Nick Miles) and Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley) after he had been distracted by a video call with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) while driving.

After the episode, Lisa, who plays Mandy Dingle, took to Instagram to share a sweet message to the 29-year-old actor alongside a shot of them on Emmerdale's set as they held a clapperboard.

She penned: "My Brad….my Vinny….Mandy’s ORIGINAL sweetheart….my work son….my friend for life. We’ve been through so much together, you will be in my life forever.

"May you move forward with honesty, determination, drive, excitement, and the knowledge that you have so much more to do.

"Vinny has been a great chapter in your life, but now you have to go and make a full book with many many many many more

Chapters.

"You know how missed you will be around the building-but the good news for you is, you won’t hear me yelling down the corridor, 'have you seen my glasses?' 'have you got my glasses?' 'have you seen my flask?' 'have you got my flask' (sic)."

Lisa, 50, concluded: "I love you loads. I have memories for life-but nothing will ever beat-snogging the Dingle kitchen cupboard to make you laugh. OK now I’m crying.

"@emmerdale @itv #emmerdale#itv #missyou #goodluck #friendforlife @bradjakejohnson. This was our last two hander scene-it’s imprinted in my heart (sic)."

Bradley, who joined Emmerdale in 2019, replied to Lisa's tribute in the post's comments section.

He penned: "You will always be my second mam! Love ya Lisa (sic)."

Bradley Riches, 24, who plays Lewis Barton, also gave sweet words to his co-star on Instagram.

He shared a selfie of them both, with the caption: "Working with you has been nothing short of an honour - I love you Bradley.

"So excited for the next chapter you are about to go on (sic)."

In May, it was revealed Bradley has been axed by Emmerdale after playing Vinny.

A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Bradley is a very popular member of the cast and especially close with his on-screen Dingle family.

“Everyone is shocked that bosses decided to axe him, but it’s all part of the ITV cuts, and they still need to trim back the cast.

"They are making less episodes, so don’t need as many characters."
