Here's how Munya Chawawa reacted when a fan took a selfie at a urinal
Munya Chawawa has revealed his instant reaction with a fan stopped to take a photo of them together in the bathroom.
Munya Chawawa once shouted at a fan for taking a selfie with him "at a urinal."
The 33-year-old comedian and actor, who rose to fame on social media and has since appeared on shows like Celebrity Bake Off, has opened up about the awkward moment he realised he had "made it".
He told the Metro newspaper's 60 Seconds column: "Being crowned 'Pretzel Papi' on Celebrity Bake Off has to be up there for that.
"But the ultimate moment was at a urinal and this guy noticed me and took a selfie. I said, 'Dude, this is really not the place for it'.
"And he was like, 'Don't worry, I'll put a filter on so you look good.' I told him, 'It's not my face I'm worried about!'"
Munya also admitted he has had to "cut back" on his own social media use.
He added: "They say you can use electricity to cook for the man, or you can use it to cook the man.
"That's how I've always tried to view my social media use. For me it's been a super launch to all the goals I've had.
"But the dangers are evident and I've cut back on my screen time. It's a good tool as long as you know when you put it down."
Meanwhile, Munya - who is currently staring as Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream - would love to show fans another side to his talents as a performer.
Asked if he'd try his hand at a serous drama, he said: "100 per cent - I'm dying for it.
"Comedy is something I love doing, and I don't underestimate the value of its medicinal purpose on a social level, but I want to get my teeth into something more serious because I'm quite a serious guy.
"For the time being, though, I'm loving every opportunity to make rude jokes about 'My Bottom' and inviting random old people in Chichester to 'come and see my bottom.' "
