Harry Aikines-Aryeetey is the sixth celebrity eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing
BBC Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and his professional dance partner Karen Hauer are the sixth couple to be eliminated from this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Harry Aikines-Aryeetey is the sixth contestant to leave this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 37-year-old star of BBC's Gladiators and his 43-year-old professional dance partner Karen Hauer were sent packing during Sunday (09.11.25) night's results show after going head-to-head with RuPaul's Drag Race UK's La Voix, 45, and her 35-year-old professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec in the dreaded dance-off.
Harry and Karen's Samba to Samba by Gloria Estefan, 68, on Saturday (08.11.25) failed to win over judges Craig Revel Horwood, 60, Shirley Ballas, 65, and 59 year old Anton Du Beke, as the trio preferred La Voix and Alijaz's Foxtrot to Make Your Own Kind Of Music by the late Cass Elliot.
It meant that fellow judge, 44 year old Motsi Mabuse - who had the casting vote on this week's show in the event of a tie - did not have to give her verdict, although the star said she would have saved La Voix and Alijaz when asked by 56-year-old host Tess Daly.
And the outcome also meant that Harry and Karen lost out on a place during next Saturday's (15.11.25) Blackpool special, which is coming live from the seaside town's famed Tower Ballroom.
Reflecting on his time on Strictly Come Dancing, Harry said: "I just want to thank Karen. Genuinely, you have given me an opportunity to shine, you've understood my crazy brain, I'm such a logical person trying to dance, and, obviously, doing what I do, Olympic sprinter, Gladiator, now I'm trying to be a dancer.
"I just want to thank you so much for the time and effort, the hardwork that you have put into me, you show up, you turn out. I want to thank everyone here. This has been a dream come true.
"It's a celebration ...
"This is an experience for me, so thank you for this lovely gift and at the end of the day, we carry on, we give it to them, and we'll continue to shine."
Karen said of dancing with Harry on the BBC's Latin and Ballroom dance show: "I am extremely proud of Harry. We have had the best time, and you're such a gentleman, and you're a hardworker.
"I loved you in every kind of way because of the person that you are, and it was an honour to teach you. So thank you."
The Apprentice 2019 candidate Thomas Skinner, 34, and his 35-year-old professional dance partner Amy Dowden were the first couple to leave this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.
They were followed by Ross King - the 63-year-old Los Angeles Correspondent for ITV's Lorraine and Good Morning Britain - and his 31-year-old professional dance partner Jowita Przystal.
Then, 39-year-old former rugby union player Chris Robshaw and his 36-year-old professional dance partner Nadiya Bychkova were booted out of the competition.
Ex-professional footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, 53, and his 34-year-old professional dance partner Lauren Oakley were fourth to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.
And last Saturday (02.11.25), 23-year-old trailblazing model Ellie Goldstein and her 33-year-old professional dance partner Vito Coppola failed to make it through to the next round.
Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis, 67, and his 36-year-old professional dance partner Dianne Buswell had to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing 2025 because he tore a calf muscle.
The eight remaining couples will return to the dance-floor next Saturday (15.11.25), and viewers can tune in at 6.25pm on BBC One.
